The following is information on the summer field day of the Maryland Nursery and Landscape Association.
MNLA ANNUAL SUMMER FIELD DAY AT FOXBOROUGH NURSERY
Location: Foxborough Nursery, Inc., 3611 Miller Road, Street, MD 21154
Date: Thursday, July 16, 2009
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Registration begins at 8:15 a.m.
Foxborough’s history and plant collection began in 1976 when they acquired the last plants propagated by Henry J. Hohman of Kingsville Nursery. Kingsville Nursery was world famous for growing unusual conifers, broadleafs and deciduous plants. Foxborough Nursery, Inc. is a wholesale nursery that has grown steadily since 1978, and is well known in the horticultural industry for specializing in rare and unusual plants. At present, Foxborough shows an inventory of over one million plants, utilizing 200+ acres of farmland. The propagation and production area consists of approximately 80,000 square feet where they produce over 40,000 grafts per year. Through their propagation and production methods, Foxborough strives to grow top quality, true-to-name plant material.
