The 4th of July holiday brought needed rain throughout Kent County with most areas receiving at least a half an inch and some areas over an inch. This will help reduce stress on landscapes. However, the warm humid weather has set up perfect conditions for certain diseases such as brown patch of turf. The following are some rainfall totals for the last 4 days:
Smyrna 1.39 inches
Dover 1.13 inches
Sandtown 0.75 inches
Harrington 1.09 inches
Milford 1.06 inches
Viola 0.69 inches
