Turf and Landscape - Know Your Weeds, Lamium Species

The Lamium genus is in the mint family and includes some very good perennial ornamentals. Two of our most common winter annual weeds, Henbit, and Purple Deadnettle also are in this genus. Pictures of these weeds of turf and landscapes are show below (Images from Turfweeds at Virginia Tech).
